This original linocut print features a deer running through a snowy winter's landscape 600 years ago. Inspired by the deer hunt scene in Sir Gawain and the Green Knight, this image evokes how animals in the wild will move about in the darkness unknown and unseen by humanity as it sleeps. A black and white version of this print appeared on page 85 of my translation of Sir Gawain (published by Unbound in July 2018)

One of variable edition of 5, hand printed on a Victorian Albion Press in Cambridgeshire, UK. Signed and editioned by the artist and printed on 250 gsm Somerset Velvet Paper. The printed part of the image measures approximately 6 x 6 inches (15 x 15cm).
