This original hand-pulled linocut print features a scene from the Middle English alliterative masterpiece Sir Gawain and the Green Knight. Here, after Gawain has arrived at the Green Chapel at the end of the poem and is ready to take his punishment.
The print is hand printed on 250 gsm Somerset Velvet Paper on a 19th Century Albion Press in 3 colours, printed from 1 plate using complex masking and signed and edition by the artist. Printed area: 12" x 12"; paper size approx twice as much again.
